Free subscription to The Practical Farmer—Our easy to navigate, information-packed newsletter features member profiles, research reports, conservation program updates, resources on sustainable production systems and innovative marketing approaches, articles on food and health, and an events calendar.

Discounts to the PFI Annual Conference - This annual event combines inspirational speakers with workshops on everything from cover crops to organic farming to direct marketing. Over 400 people attend each year.

Member Networking Support - Want to know where you can buy locally grown food in your part of the state? Interested in learning more about raising pigs in hoop houses? Through PFI's staff and our online directory we can hook you up with the abundant skills, enterprises and interests of other PFI members.

On-Farm Research and Education - Become a PFI research cooperator and participate in cutting-edge sustainable agriculture research that addresses questions you face on your own farm. Through our cooperation with Iowa State University you can share the results of your research via field days and publications.

Apprenticeship Program - PFI members can use our apprenticeship program to find labor support for their farms or to find a farm on which to work and learn.

Farm Field Days - Members receive each spring a guide to the wide array of field days hosted by PFI members across the state every summer and fall. These free events allow you to learn from some of Iowa's most innovative and successful farmers.

Opportunities for Students and Youth

PFI Listserv - These email lists encourage and facilitate communication among our members. Pose questions and share information about sustainable agriculture and local food systems.
