Neil Peterson raises corn, soybeans, small grains and cattle at Clover Lane Farm near Fonda, Iowa, with his wife, Elizabeth, and sons Paul and Timothy. Neil plants oats using no-till with an underseeding of red clover before corn, then harvests the oats using both a combine and a swather. He rotationally grazes 50 cows on 20 acres of former row crop ground converted to pasture and directly markets beef to customers through local lockers. In addition to the topics listed, attendees may even catch a swather ride.
Lunch will follow the field day.
