Cathy Linker Lafrenz prioritizes adaptability in all aspects of her business. She raises no-till cut flowers on her nearly 1.8-acre farm, Miss Effie’s Country Flowers and Garden Stuff. To grow her flowers, she uses methods like “lasagna gardening” – a no-dig, no-till approach that builds soils from the ground up by layering different compostable materials. She also uses sustainable materials to construct supports for her crops.

To grow her business, Cathy has created a diverse income stream that includes cooking and baking classes, serving as a Hipcamp host, holding garden events and offering photography rentals. Join us for a fabulous afternoon learning about the joy that abounds with Cathy’s big personality on her little farm.

Light refreshments will follow the field day.
