Amber Mohr

Business Development Manager

Ask Me About:
Savings Incentive Program

Amber Mohr joined the PFI staff in June 2026 as the business development manager. In this role, she manages PFI’s Savings Incentive Program, fosters partnerships that support PFI’s farm viability goals and supports other business development work at PFI.

Amber raises pastured eggs and chemical-free produce with her family in Avoca, Iowa. Though she was raised in Nebraska, she grew up loving Iowa while visiting her grandparents and now feels privileged to be living and working on the farm where her father grew up.

Prior to joining the PFI team, Amber worked in community and economic development, incorporating a local food and agriculture perspective into Avoca’s revitalization and community transformation initiatives. She also served as a land access navigator with PFI and Renewing the Countryside. Amber is thrilled that she can continue to support agrarian entrepreneurs in her full-time role.

Amber’s formal education is in museum studies and art history. But she has found concepts such as integrated pest management, storage zoning, microclimates and preventative conservation to be just as applicable to farming as they are to museum administration.

Amber enjoys hiking in the Loess Hills, cooking and reading classic books aloud with her children.
