Event Overview
Catherine Schut owns and operates Hive and Petal, a boutique flower farm in Prairie City, Iowa, focused on specialty blooms and honeybees. Catherine grows unique seasonal flowers, from winter tulips and spring peonies to dried florals, using thoughtful, organically inspired practices that prioritize soil health and pollinators.
At this field day, Catherine will lead a walking tour of her flower farm. She'll share how even small pockets of restored prairie can support both wild pollinators and her own beehives, as well as soil health. We'll also hear about the programs and partnerships Catherine has worked with over the years to establish prairie habitat, and future plans for those partnerships as she expands her conservation practices.
Registration for this field day is required.
