Josiah Pollock
Field Crops Education Coordinator
Josiah Pollock joined the Practical Farmers of Iowa team in June 2026 as a field crops education coordinator. In this role, he works with the farmer-led education and field crops departments to engage farmers and coordinate educational programs, both virtual and in the field.
Josiah earned his bachelor's degree in history from the University of Washington and his master's degree in history with a specialization in historical agriculture from Iowa State University. Upon graduating, Josiah worked for Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in the Organic and Urban Agriculture Program.
A native of the Pacific Northwest, Josiah worked for an agricultural living history museum where he was introduced to sustainable agriculture and a love for small grains.
In his free time, Josiah spends time with his wife Kassie, volunteers for his church, reads, gardens and knits.
