Join us for the first Iowa Farmers of Color Cookout. This gathering is an opportunity for farmers of all enterprises, throughout the Midwest, to connect, collaborate and get to know one another over a barbeque meal. Our host this year is DaQuan Campbell, owner and operator of We Arose Farm and Co-op in Waterloo, Iowa.
This is an Iowa Farmers of Color event. Iowa Farmers of Color is a group currently in the formation stage, founded by Shaffer Ridgeway and Todd Western III and open to all farmers regardless of state. The cookout is a precursor to the Iowa Farmers of Color Conference being held in Ames on Nov. 21 2026. Save the date, and watch for more details to come!
