Event Overview
Clay and Logan Govier are not afraid to push the envelope to find the best practices for their 3,500-acre farm. Their corn acres are enrolled in PFI's N Rate Risk Protection Program to help them find the nitrogen application rate that works for them. They're trialing two biological products at varying rates this year to see if they boost soil biology and plant health. Clay and Logan also plant cover crops to increase soil organic matter and retain healthy soil. New to the farm is a geothermal greenhouse and a cover crop seed and application business.
Come to this field day to see a biological trial plot, discuss observations and learn about the Goviers' new cover crop business. See how a central Nebraska farm is finding what works best for large-scale corn and soybean growers in their area.
