Communications Intern

Maddie joined Practical Farmers of Iowa in April 2020 as a communications intern. She is currently a student at Iowa State University studying advertising with minors in event management and data science. Her duties with PFI include helping to manage PFI’s website, social media and email newsletters; assisting with graphic design and storytelling; creating and writing copy for ads; and helping with public relations.

Maddie grew up on a farm in Taylor Ridge, Illinois. Her family recently was recognized as the 2019 Conservation Farm Family of the Year from the Association of Illinois Soil and Water Conservation Districts. Maddie is a 10-year member of her 4-H club, where she served three of those years as president. She is a proud member of her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, where she currently serves as the new member director and homecoming co-chair. Maddie is also a student ambassador for the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication at Iowa State.

In her free time, Maddie enjoys singing, painting, hammocking and spending time with her friends and family.
