About the Farm
We are located in northeast, north central Iowa near Charles City. Our guiding values are to celebrate life by observing the natural synergies between soil, plants and animals and how they adapt to change. We are a 100% perennial farm specializing in managed adaptive grazing of sheep and cattle on perennial pastures and Kernza; growing small grains such as Kernza, oats and other novel small grains; and agroforestry practices including established silvopasture, riparian buffer, enhanced windbreaks and micro orcharding. We integrate poultry and pigs into our operation at a smaller scale. We are certified organic and certified humane. We use adaptive management grazing, no antibiotics, no-GMOs, and are certified grass-fed and -finished. We sell grass-fed beef, lamb, pork, chicken, turkey, duck and food grade small grains sold in our virtual farm store, and through buying clubs, on farm sales and retailers.
