About the Trainers
Mike Levine
Trainer Experience: Farming, both full time and part time, and working in the food related and food processing business for 47 years. We have operated Fruit of Levine LLC since about 2012.
About the Farm
We are located in Omaha, Nebraska. Fruit of Levine LLC is a 15-acre farm owned and operated by Jodi and Mike Levine. We are a niche producer of specialty fruits, vegetables, duck and goose eggs, and honey products. We focus on products that are difficult to source or hard to find locally. We are dedicated to producing sustainably with minimal impact on our environment. We produce specialty crops including, honey, honeycomb, red raspberries, black raspberries, blackberries, asparagus, annual vegetables, lavender and other herbs, cut flowers, and duck and goose eggs. We use tarps for occultation on our market garden area from winter to spring, which facilitates no-till planting. We heavily mulch for weed control and fertility. We are not certified organic, but we do only use materials that are acceptable to the National Organic Program. We sell to restaurants, ice cream shops and individuals.
