Registration Closing Friday! Don’t Miss It! “Put a Face on Your Farm” Branding Workshop Is A Unique Opportunity for Farmers

By Ann Seuferer

Having a brand and marketing your products can mean the difference between making a profit or not. PFI farmers are producing healthy crops, grass-fed livestock, free-range poultry and eggs, organic or low-input produce among many other desirable products. There is a growing demand for healthy foods, grown locally. This workshop is the perfect opportunity to learn what you can do to capture your share of this market by developing a consistent brand.

Guest presenter Andrew Clark, “The Brand Chef,” of WOW Marketing has more than 15 years experience working in agriculture, marketing and branding and will share a tried and T.R.U.E. method for helping farms uncover their T.R.U.E. brand.

Clark’s T.R.U.E. method involves discovering the Truth of your brand, the Relevance to your market, Uniqueness amongst your competitors and the ability to Engage your customers.

This workshop is FREE to PFI members and only $30 for non members. Refreshments and lunch are provided. Register by March 18, by calling or emailing Sally Worley, 515.419.9551, sally@practicalfarmers.org.

The workshop will be held 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 25 at First Unitarian Church, 1800 Bell Ave., Des Moines 50315.

Another WOW! Ten attendees will be selected to each receive an additional $1,000 of branding help from The Brand Chef and Create WOW Marketing. While the workshop is open to all types of farming operations, due to grant requirements, the additional branding assistance is reserved for farmers who meet the following criteria:

Farmers must be members of PFI.
Farmers must be willing to have their branding accomplishments showcased in May to a wider audience.
