Development Director
We’re seeking a dedicated and skilled development director to oversee PFI’s funding portfolio, ensuring our funding aligns with our strategic plan to continue to increase positive outcomes for farmers, communities and the Midwestern landscape. The development director will oversee all fundraising efforts in partnership with development staff, department directors, the board of directors and the executive director. This person will report to the executive director.
Office Assistant
Practical Farmers of Iowa is seeking a responsible and committed person to help our membership and operations team with welcoming new members, processing and updating member data, preparing mailings, and other office tasks. This is a flexible, part-time position that pays $20 per hour for approximately 15 hours per week. We are looking for a commitment to this position through May 2025, with the potential to continue into summer.
Farm Systems Viability Manager
We’re seeking a farm systems viability manager to manage our largest financial and technical assistance programs and a growing team of staff who advise farmers looking to adopt new practices in their farming operations. This team currently oversees projects that support farmers who are adding cover crops, small grains in rotation, grazing infrastructure, prairie strips, oxbows and precision conservation, as well as those who are reducing their nitrogen rates. As the farm systems viability manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring execution of our largest programs that impact millions of acres of crop ground in Iowa and surrounding states.
