Crop Insurance and Cover Crops for 2014

The Natural Resources Conservation Service has issued guidelines for farmers using cover crops and who want to be eligible to insure the following cash crop.

There is NO date for terminating the cover crop in 2014. The guidelines are based on rainfall amounts across the United States and are flexible for farmers wanting to use cover crops. But currently few crop insurance agents have this information. Please share information with your crop insurance agent this winter.
