Annual Conference Registration

People make the PFI Annual Conference a rich knowledge-sharing event, and we believe everyone on the farm contributes to a farm’s success now, and in the future. We want our conference to be accessible to everyone, so we strive to keep our registration rates low and offer steep discounts for members.

Registration will open at the end of October.

Dec. 6: Deadline for registrants to be entered into a drawing for two free nights at the Hilton during the conference.

Jan. 2: Deadline for all pre-registrations. After this date, registration rates increase and all registrations are walk-in only. No refunds will be given after Jan. 2. All refunds will be charged an $8 processing fee.

Annual Conference Scholarship Application

Scholarship applications will open soon.

As our funding allows, we are pleased to offer scholarships, which include registration for both days of the conference, a Saturday meal ticket (breakfast and lunch), Friday dinner ticket (if needed), and a Friday night hotel room (if needed).

Anyone is welcome to apply for a scholarship. Priority will be given to applicants from underrepresented or historically marginalized groups in agriculture, beginning farmers with limited resources, and other applicants experiencing financial hardship.

After submitting your application, you will receive an email confirming our receipt of your application. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 6, 2024. We will update you on the status of your application no later than Dec. 11, 2024.

Questions? Contact Katie Aupperle: katie.aupperle(at)practicalfarmers(dot)org or (515) 232-5661.

Are You a Student?

For individuals currently enrolled in coursework, we have a steeply discounted $40 ticket to attend both Friday and Saturday sessions. Membership is not required, but a valid student ID is required at check-in.

Don’t Forget Meals!

All meal tickets must be purchased per person, in addition to conference tickets. We strongly recommend purchasing meal tickets with your early registration. A limited number of meal tickets may be available for purchase on-site, but keep in mind that tickets sell out some years.

All meals at the PFI annual conference are made primarily with ingredients sourced from PFI member farms or local producers. (In accordance with venue policy, outside food may not be brought into the venue without explicit, prior permission from PFI.)

Accessibility Accommodations

We strive to make our conference accessible to everyone. Requests for accommodations should be made by Dec. 5, 2024. PFI will make every effort to secure services, but services are subject to availability.

Language Accessibility

A track of breakout sessions during the conference will be presented in Spanish (no English interpretation). Spanish speakers will also have free access to interpretive headsets during Storytelling, the keynote address and the business meeting. Farmers who speak Nepali, Kirundi or Swahili should inquire by the early-bird pre-registration deadline (Dec. 6) about opportunities for attending sessions with interpretation on Saturday, Jan. 11.

Disabilities

Persons with disabilities, including physical disabilities and hearing or vision impairment, who would like to request accommodations or have questions about physical access may contact Katie Aupperle at katie.aupperle(at)practicalfarmers(dot)org or (515) 232-5661.
