Covering All Enterprises: Cover Crops for Corn, Soy and Pumpkins
Celebrate PFI’s 40th anniversary at this field day!
Tuesday, June 24
9-11 a.m.
Location
886 T Ave.
Boone, IA 50036
Host
Jeremy Gustafson
Jeremy Gustafson is a lifetime member of PFI who farms just outside of Boone, Iowa, raising corn and soybeans and cover cropping extensively with cereal rye. He also has a pumpkin enterprise called Gustafson Family Pumpkin Patch. Jeremy plants cover crops on corn, soy and pumpkin ground to minimize soil loss. At this field day, Jeremy will show his planter set-up to highlight how you can adapt your current machinery for planting cover crops. You’ll also see how cover crops are used in the pumpkin, corn and soybean fields, and how the practice benefits all three crops.
Join the PFI board of directors and staff for PFI’s 40th anniversary celebration!
Meal
Doughnuts and drinks will be provided at the start of the field day. Will end with cake to celebrate PFI’s 40th Anniversary!
