Ben and Katherine De Boef operate a corn and soybean farm in Poweshiek County, Iowa. They also raise cattle and graze them on perennial forage and annual cover crops. To help diversify their income streams, Ben and Katherine have invested in a drone to seed their own cover crops and to contract out to plant covers for other farmers. They are doing their own research on management-intensive grazing of annual cover crops to see how much they can push the cattle stocking rates. Join Ben and Katherine at this field day to see a field seeded by a drone, and to find out what they have learned so far in their management-intensive grazing trial.
