Location

Hosts
Craig & Elizabeth Fischer
Craig and Elizabeth Fischer operate Sleepy Bison Acres, a 255-acre farm in Brown County, Minnesota. On 100 of those acres, they manage a 100-head bison herd. They also operate Sleepy Bison Grill, a food truck featuring pastured bison from their herd that are sometimes fed hay and grain from their farm. In their management, the Fischers emphasize economic efficiency, low-input livestock and high-value products they can sell to their customers. By working with nature, Craig and Elizabeth have upped the nutrient density of their soils and farm products while increasing their quality of life.
Join the Fischers, as well as Pheasants Forever staff, as they discuss how integrating conservation into your farm management plan can help you create a more resilient, sustainable farm while providing critical habitat to wildlife.
