Host
Tim Gottman, TJT Gottman Inc.
Tim Gottman has been farming alongside his brother, Trent, since 1989 on their 2,400-acre row crop operation of soybeans, wheat, corn and cover crops in Marion County, Missouri. He’s farming where he was born and raised, and continues to do so with his children and grandchildren. Tim uses cover crops on about 65% of his acres, and he plans to continue doing so. He says cover crops help keep his soil and fertilizer in his fields and improve the farm’s bottom line. Land stewardship and beneficial yields help drive cover crop adoption on Tim’s farm. But he wants to see each farmer figure out how cover crops work for them and their operation’s goals.
Come join Tim for a lively discussion about how and why he uses cover crops on his farm, and the benefits he has noticed in his operation.
