Hosts

Anna & Shae Pesek, Over the Moon Farm

RSVP

In this second part of our virtual turkey field day, Anna and Shae Pesek will go deeper into the details of how they raise turkeys for the Thanksgiving market. Anna and Shae own Over the Moon Farm in Delaware County, Iowa. Since 2019, they have been serving their community through a CSA and a la carte sales through their online farm store.

As we rejoin them, their turkeys have been out on pasture for about two months and preparations begin for their journey to the butcher. In this virtual field day, you’ll learn about Anna and Shae’s turkey production timeline. They’ll discuss how they continue to communicate with customers on preorders. They’ll also explain their infrastructure setup for raising turkeys on pasture.

Due to biosecurity concerns, this field day is being held virtually.

See & Discuss

  • The timeline for raising turkeys from when they’re on pasture to the processor
  • Production decisions around processing, and more
