Dogpatch Urban Gardens is situated on 1 acre of land in a residential area, with roughly a quarter-acre under cultivation. Jenny has been operating the farm since 2016, and specializes in growing annual vegetable crops, particularly salad greens. All crops are grown without synthetic chemicals. The business is diversified with multiple ways for the community to support the farm, including salad subscriptions, farm dinners, restaurant sales and a farm stand – a seasonal, on-site store that sells Dogpatch Urban Gardens products, as well as other items from growers across Iowa.
