Strategic Planning Listening and Visioning Sessions

Practical Farmers of Iowa invites you to participate in a strategic planning listening and visioning session as we begin developing our next organizational strategic plan for 2027–2029.

Listening and visioning sessions will be held at the following dates and locations:

March 10, 4:30-6:30 p.m.: Swan Lake State Park Conservation Education Center, 22676 Swan Lake Drive, Carroll, Iowa
March 11, 4:30-6:30 p.m.: Practical Farmers of Iowa office, 414 S. 17th St. Suite 107, Ames, Iowa
March 12, 4:30-6:30 p.m.: Indian Creek Nature Center, 5300 Otis Road SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa
March 31, 1-3 p.m.: Virtual meeting

Over the past several years, Practical Farmers has experienced meaningful growth, and we want to ensure our future direction continues to reflect the needs, values and aspirations of our members and supporters. Your voice is essential in shaping a plan that truly supports farmers, strengthens communities and helps advance a resilient farm and food system.

These public sessions are an opportunity for PFI members and supporters to:

Share insights on PFI’s strengths and opportunities
Identify challenges that should be addressed in the new strategic plan
Discuss needs and priorities for our farms and communities
Connect with others who care about the future of Iowa agriculture

Information gathered will directly inform the strategic planning process taking place throughout summer and fall 2026, culminating in board approval of the new plan in December 2026.
