Rory and Lynette Van Wyk own and operate RoLyn Hills Farm with daughters Annika and Emma near Winterset, Iowa. They raise grass-fed beef and lamb and pastured pork and poultry. Currently, Rory and Lynette are experimenting with spreading Johnson-Su compost extract – a compost method that requires little manual labor, no turning and produces no odors – on pasture with a goal to improve the health of their land, livestock and community by restoring soil health. Join the Van Wyk family to learn about this unique composting method, how to visually assess soil and more at this soil health-focused event.
Dinner will follow the field day.

Google gives an incorrect location about a quarter-mile west of the farm. From U.S. 169, turn west onto 148th Street and go 0.2 mile. The farm is on the south side of the road.
