Diane discusses design considerations for balancing animal welfare and environmental impacts. Diane also talks about shade access and improved welfare that may lead to increased production.
Diane is the sustainable agriculture coordinator for University of Wisconsin-Extension. She has a master’s degree in forestry and environmental studies, and is researching silvopasture in Wisconsin. Diane worked for Iowa State University on integrated pest management and local foods.
