Board Member Nominations

Nominate Candidates for PFI’s Board of Directors

Practical Farmers of Iowa’s board governance committee revised the board election process. The goal of the revision is to ensure a transparent, equitable process to source, vet and nominate candidates for PFI’s board of directors.

This year, PFI is seeking two at-large farmer candidates. At-large candidates can come from any PFI region and must be active farmers. Learn more about board member service expectations. Learn more about the current board.

How to Nominate

If you would like to express interest or suggest someone who you think would make a good board candidate, please fill out our form.

The nominating committee, comprised of PFI members, will reach out to folks to schedule follow-up conversations and select the final slate that will be voted on in January 2026. There will be one or two candidates on the slate for each open position.
