Adam Mason joined Practical Farmers of Iowa staff in November 2025 as the senior policy coordinator. In this role, he works to ensure PFI members are effectively and strategically sharing the organization’s priorities with policymakers, as well as other state and federal leaders.
A native of Storm Lake in northwest Iowa, Adam has a Bachelor of Arts in political science and German from Central College. Prior to working at Practical Farmers of Iowa, Adam spent time working on agriculture and environmental policy at the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals for four years. Prior to that, he directed Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement’s Farming and Environment Organizing Program, as well as their state policy work for 15 years.
Adam lives in Des Moines, Iowa, with his wife Anna and dog Townes. He enjoys do-it-yourself home projects, cooking for friends and family, gardening, canning, running and cycling in his free time.
