Roberta Bianchin Rebesquini joined the PFI staff in September 2024 as the cropping systems research coordinator. She manages on-farm research projects across the Midwest, focusing on soil health practices, nitrogen management and the impact of cover crops on corn-soybean systems. Her work aims to enhance agricultural sustainability through data-driven insights and accessible research reports.
Originally from Machadinho, a small town in southern Brazil, Roberta earned her bachelor’s degree in agronomy from the Federal University of Santa Maria. She then moved to the U.S. to complete her master’s degree in agronomy at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where her research focused on crop productivity and fertility practices in perennial grain systems.
Roberta enjoys reading, traveling – especially to visit family and friends in Brazil – exploring new places, being outdoors in contact with nature and getting to know new landscapes. She loves trying different eateries and breweries and spending quality time with loved ones.
