Tylar VanPelt joined Practical Farmers of Iowa in November 2024 as the office assistant. Her role focuses on assisting the operations team to ensure that PFI’s staff is well equipped to deliver effective programs to members.
Tylar grew up in a small rural town in central Iowa, where her love for farming began. Tylar earned her bachelor’s degree from Northwest Missouri State University in May 2024. She majored in agricultural business and minored in horticulture. During her time there, she was heavily involved in the agricultural department, serving as an agricultural ambassador and member of the horticulture club. Sustainable farming practices have always been a passion of hers, and she dreams of starting her own farm in the near future.
Tylar is a new resident of Cambridge, Iowa, along with her boyfriend, Brady, and their dog, Gus. After work, you can find Tylar baking or in the garden.
