Will Doepke joined the PFI staff in August 2025 as a senior membership engagement assistant. In this role, he helps farmers get the information they need about our cost-share programs and complete key steps to finish the programs successfully.

Will grew up in Black Hawk County, Iowa, in a farming family that had livestock but transitioned to row crops only. That led him to attend Iowa State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in 2015. After graduating, he worked for Iowa State doing soybean breeding and research. Eventually, he found his way to the U.S. Department of Agriculture before landing at Practical Farmers. Throughout these roles, Will has continued to help out on the family farm.

Will and his wife live in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and enjoy the outdoors in about any way possible, as well as gardening and working around the yard to develop pollinator- and wildlife-friendly landscaping. He also enjoys woodworking and sampling the local breweries and restaurants.
