Are you interested in…

  • Making every acre on your farm productive?
  • Building soil health?
  • Improving water quality?
  • Addressing climate change?
  • Providing critical native habitat for wildlife?

If you answered “yes,” PFI’s habitat incentives program is here to help you achieve your goals by providing technical and financial support for several conservation practices. Use our form to submit your contact information, and our habitat staff will reach out to chat about your farm management and conservation goals.

Supported Practices

Prairie Strips (Buffer Strips)

Receive a one-time incentive payment to establish prairie strips on your farm through PFI’s habitat incentives program. This cost-share can be stacked with Conservation Reserve Program (CRP).

Pollinator Habitat

Receive funding for creating or enhancing pollinator habitat. This grant is directed at declining native pollinators in counties in the northeast quadrant of the state. This program can be implemented on farmland or remnant prairie habitat.

Precision Conservation Analysis

Receive a one-time incentive payout and a profitability assessment of your agricultural fields utilizing precision agriculture data to turn those marginal acres into opportunities.
